Build to fly, these bird feathers, carrying highly detailed hand-painted images, give these miniatures of landscapes, Gods, animals and visions a lightness and a tender quality.
The layers of paint are often so thin one can still see the hairs of the feather right through them.
Mostly, but not exclusively, Peacock and Hawk feathers are used.
All feathers are acquired and collected via natural resources and of course no birds were harmed for this.
